Nobody’s Dream
So, I finished the 6th book in the Rescue Me Saga, Nobody’s Dream. Â As I have already stated at least a million times, I love Kallypso Masters. Â That takes me into this book. Â OMG!!!! Â I’m not going to spoil it for anyone but OMG!!!! Â It is the PERFECT love story.
I’m so intensely invested in these characters that I am convinced that we are all best friends lol.
One broken heart. One battered soul.
No one said life would be fair or easy. Quiet, Peruvian-born artist Cassie Lopez learned this the hard way. Betrayed by the man she planned to marry, she shut herself off far away from all but her closest friend from college… Until the night Luke Denton came crashing into her Colorado mountain sanctuary with a vengeance. Confused by her heart’s response to this kind and gentle man, Cassie pushes herself to help the cowboy recover quickly so she can send him on his way. But Luke’s patience and understanding threaten to break down the very defenses she needs to survive in this world after he’s gone.
Search-and-Rescue worker Luke, who lost his wife and unborn child in a tragic accident, also knows firsthand of the unfairness of life. He keeps his own nightmares at bay by focusing on his rescue activities, most recently adopting and working with abused and neglected horses.
Can two wounded people find trust and love together? Do nightmares end where dreams come true?
Eeeeeeeeeek (yes, yes that is my squeal). Â I’m so happy that I found this author and I’m so happy with her writing. Â I will admit though that I am a bit annoyed because now I have to wait until the next book comes out. Â Yes, it’s that serious.

Nobody’s Lost
Ryder Wilson returned from serving multiple deployments but can’t leave the hell of combat behind him. Frustrated and ashamed of his inability to function in the world as well as the veterans he served with, he retreated, choosing to engage only with those he trusted. When retired Master Sergeant Adam Montague sends him on a mission to protect his sister from some unknown danger, Ryder’s days of hiding out may be over. Can he fulfill his mission without failing again?
Megan Gallagher has two big-brother Marines bent on protecting her from the evils of the world, but she’s tougher than they think. When her older brother sends Ryder, one of his recon Marines, to her doorstep in the wee hours one night following a break-in, she realizes he needs rescuing more than she does. A friendship forms quickly, but unexpected passions run hot and complicate her resolve never to have a romantic relationship, much less marriage. So why are her body and her heart betraying her every time he comes near?
Can these two wounded people lower their defenses long enough to allow love to grow?
Now, that is what the book covers, here is my opinion.
I LOVE all things Kallypso Masters, and this one is no different. Â Kally has done it again. Â If you haven’t read the other books in the series do so now, but this can very easily be a great stand alone novel. Â I HIGHLY recommend that you read all the books in the Rescue Me Series….Believe me, you won’t be disappointed.

Edge of Heat
While I wait for the next book in the Rescue Me series, I have been reading another series that is really good. Â I will be honest, I truly wasn’t expecting to like it, but I am enthralled with the story, the characters and the writing. Â So, when you get a chance, check out the Edge of Heat series by Lisa Ladew. Â You will be a pleased as I am.
This series is super simple to follow, because it’s numbered….literally. Â Let me know what you think when you are done. Â Can’t wait to hear from you.

Two Chicks Book Club (Great idea right?)
So, I’m talking to my favorite cousin and I suggested that we start a blog about the books that we read, considering that we do read a lot of the same books and we tend to read them at the same time and then have in depth discussions about them. Â She said no. She is no fun at all. Â I think that we can have a ton of fun writing a book review blog. Since she doesn’t want to cooperate, I’m going to do my own book reviews here. HA!! (When I can remember)
I’m thinking I might dedicate a tab page to just that…who know? I haven’t given it much thought yet, since the idea just came to me as I was talking to her.

Rescue Me Series
So, I said, I wouldn’t tell anyone. Â I wouldn’t tell because it would be revealing a side of me that you probably shouldn’t know but…sometimes things are just to good to keep to yourself.
As you know, I love reading…I love reading almost as much as I love writing. Â I have come across yet another series that will make you, well, it will make you fall in LOVE with it’s characters.
Kallypso Masters has pulled me into a world of …. of …. well read the damn books and then we will talk about it.
I’m so serious. I’m leaving this post open for comments because, as I said, it’s too good not to share.
The Shack
So… my mother suggested…more like demanded that I read The Shack by William Young. At first I was reluctant because, one, my mother suggested it and two its completely unlike anything I would normally read. With great reluctance I began.
Turns out my mommy was right about this one. Its a great book that opens you mind, your heart and changes you forever.
So I’m going to tell you like my mommy told me. Go on out and get the book, read it, then call me so we can talk about it.

Rough Riders Series
So…. let’s talk books.
Somehow I got dragged into the world of the eBook. When I talked to my cousin about this she suggested that I start reading the Rough Riders Series by Lorelei James. Now, I gotta admit when I saw the cover of the first book I thought “oh another cowboy story”. Well, honey let me tell you, these aren’t your average run of the mill cowboys. I’ve been reading about these cowboys for a few weeks now and I’m finding that I fall deeper and deeper in love with each one. There were even a few female characters I changed lives with in my head.
Here’s my advice, looking for a damn good read check out the Rough Riders Series by Lorelei James. Also…here’s a bit of advice my favorite cousin shared “READ THEM IN ORDER”
